Nashville Scene cover...whoo!

So a few days ago I received a phone call from the Nashville Scene, they wanted me to shoot a future cover for the magazine.
The shoot is for the new music advisor at the Nashville Symphony. His name is Leonard Schlatkin.

Apparently he has been considered the "next big thing" in the symphony world for quite a while, but has never really fulfilled that destiny.

Wednesday morning at 10 am, I grab some coffee, but no food(this is a big mistake). I arrive at the Nashville Scene offices to have a brief meeting with the art director. Next we head to the Scheimmerhorn(spelling?)Center to get set up, and have a look around.

This is my first time being to the symphony center, and it was pretty breathtaking inside.

After I got set up, I awaited the arrival of Mr. Schlatkin.

He showed up and had a few assistants around him, he was a pretty intimidating figure. The shoot went great from there, and it was a really exciting opportunity to shoot a cover for the scene.

Here's a sneak peek:

And here's some video that my assistant Matt shot. Please enjoy, and look for that cover shot sometime in the next couple of weeks!
